Divorce and Custody In Seperate States?

My husband and I have been seperated since November of 2004. I moved here to florida with my daughter in 2005 we have lived here ever since. I sent my daughter up to see him this past may on a verbal agreement that I have her during school he has her summers and we share holidays but recently i bought plane ticket and he did not put her on the plane and doesn’t want to send her home what can i do all i want is my little girl home with me she was supposed to start school the 20th and shes enrolled here, I have records showing that she lives here but we are still married and i can’t afford another plane ticket let alone a divorce please help.

California divorce process- how long to be served?

Trying to do the right thing asked:

My husband is verbally abusive, and after months of trying to get up the courage to leave him, he has made the first step by leaving me! He left Saturday and said he was going to file for divorce on Tuesday. He has blocked all cell phone communication and gone into hiding. In the meantime, I have no idea what’s going on with the divorce and I am sick with tension. I don’t know if he’ll come home or what. I have little money, so I’m waiting to see what he’ll do and I’m waiting to be served with divorce papers, but nothing’s happening!
I searched my county’s courthouse online and they have no records of either of us. Say he did file Tuesday, how soon will I be served or find out? If he filed through his attorney, will there be a delay? I don’t want to spend the money to file if he already did. Are people usually served right away or are there paperwork delays? What will be my timeline from here on? We were married 11 months with no kids.

Divorce/ Lawyer advice needed.ASAP?

Here’s the situation…..I have a lawyer because I recently got divorced. The divorce is now finalized. My husband (ex i guess) of 15 years was military…but has retired, well he was ordered by the judge to pay me half of what he earned meanwhile all the years which we were together. Now what my husband did was transferred the money into his different accounts, I know this because I once saw a couple statements – but that resulted in me getting hit very badly and having to go to the emergency room.

The divorce is over with, and I do get some compensation but not much. I mean I went through a lot with this man. I want to know if I should pay my lawyer – or another lawyer…to do further research? Are there private detectives that research records, because my lawyer did a horrible job a obtaining more information. She didnt even conttact the Military Legal department which would have furnished more information to her. Any advise would greatly be appreciated!!!!

hey, i just wanted to let you know that i got back okay yesterday. the dogs didnt really recognize me at first. it might’ve been also cause i cut my hair. but they’re doing good. they were well taken care of. blue is bigger, weight wise, he looks good and sable looks good too. im gonna try to close the wamu account today (our joint bank account but my paycheck don’t go there) so we dont have to worry about it. i think that’s all, oh, and did you know that mike ( my friend, i told him he could use the car (my car)) took my car to some place like 2 or 3 hours away from here to take it camping when he has his own vehicles? i found a little grill in the trunck when i was putting my luggage in there yesterday, im not too happy about it. he put quite a bit of miles on it. but oh well i guess. but yea, im here now in one piece.

My reply was: So do you still want to give the dogs away and do you still want a divorce?

Her reply:

im gonna try to find someone who wants both dogs. i dont think its right to keep the dogs as a bourdon to jessie( our roommate) he is thinking about moving after his lease is up in novembre. so, i’ll pack your stuff up before i leave, but you are probably gonna have to find someone to pick it up and store it. i’ll just pack what is mine (clothes, pix of my fam, computer, and dvd player) umm…i had a meeting today with my recuiter and his boss and they said that it would be best to hold of the divorce process untill i get out of basic because it would hurt me if i have a civil lawsuit opened on my records. i hope that answers your question. thanks for putting that money there, but i really dont need it. but i guess if something comes up, i’ll use it. i really dont care anymore about the usaa account. im really wasnt using it to begin with i guess. but yea, that’ll be one of the things we take care of when you get back. im going to start organizing all the stuff. and when i figure out where to keep the important documents, i’ll let you know where they are.

Do you guys think she’ll regret her decisions (possibly in basic training wwhen she’s all stressed) and come back to me? Or is this kind of thing something that a marriage can’t recover from? What do you guys think?
